Warranty
At Tilla, we take great care to ensure that all of our jewellery meets our high standards of quality. Every piece is meticulously inspected by both a professional jeweller and a member of our team. However, from time to time, there may be a rare fault. We want you to feel confident when shopping with us, which is why we want you to know that our jewellery come with a guarantee that are protected under the Australian Consumer Law. If you experience a major fault with your purchase, you are entitled to a replacement or refund, as well as compensation for any other foreseeable loss or damage. If the goods fail to meet acceptable quality standards, we will repair or replace them for you. We stand behind the quality of our jewellery and are committed to providing you with a positive shopping experience. 1. WARRANTY
In addition to your Consumer Law Rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law, we provide this Warranty to you.
This Warranty applies for 2 years following your purchase of products from the Tilla website or our Supplier, except for gold and SI1 grade diamond pieces, which have a lifetime warranty. If within this Warranty Period, the Product show defects resulting from improper workmanship or materials, we will repair or replace the Product or provide you with a full or partial refund for the defective part, in accordance with your Consumer Law Rights.
Please note that your Consumer Law Rights may extend beyond the Warranty Period, and we may also offer additional warranties for specific products that go beyond the Warranty Period.
In the event that the materials, parts or features necessary for a repair or replacement are not available or are no longer in production, of if your particular style of Product is no longer available or in production, we will make every effort to source suitable equivalent materials, parts, features or styles.
2. MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM
In order to receive the benefit of this Warranty, you are required to:
- Notify us via email at info@tillajewellery.com.au as soon as you become aware that the Product is defective.
- Title the email subject as “Item is Faulty”.
- Include evident of your purchase from us, as well as a description and photographs of the claimed defect.
- If requested, you must return the Product to us, along with all packaging, parts, accessories and documentation. Our contact details for returns are set out below.
- Provide any additional information that we may reasonably request in order to assess your claim.
If you return the Product as part of our Warranty claim, we will cover the costs associated with the returning of the products to us. Our team of jewellery specialists will assess all claims and determine as to whether the claim is valid under this Warranty. We will notify you of our decision and if your claim is accepted, we will proceed with the repair, replacement or refund as outlined in this Warranty.
3. WHEN THIS WARRANTY APPLIES & DOES NOT APPLY
Our Products are very delicate and require careful handling, as outlined in our Jewellery Care Guide here.
This Warranty does not cover any defect which is caused (or partly caused) or contributed to, by any:
- loss of your Products;
- chain breakage (unless caused by improper workmanship or materials);
- reasonable wear and tear of your Products, including tarnishing and fading of plated jewellery;
- act or omission, accident, or negligence by you or any third party not engaged by us (including any third-party repairer of your Products);
- failure on your part to follow any instructions provided by us or the manufacturer in relation to your Products;
- use of your Products otherwise than for use specified by us or the manufacturer;
- continued use of your Products (where such use is not reasonable) after any defect in your Products becomes apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonable person;
- failure by you to notify us of any defect in your Products within a reasonable period of time after you become aware of or ought to have reasonably become aware of the relevant defect; or
- act of God or force majeure event (including but not limited to war, riot, invasion, act of terrorism, contamination, earthquake, flood, fire, or other natural disaster, or any other event or circumstance beyond our or the manufacturer's reasonable control).
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
Any additional services requested by you to be performed by us (including those not covered under Clause 3 and deemed by us to be outside the scope of this Warranty) may incur additional charges. We will inform you of these charges before commencing any additional work or services.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION & DEFINITIONS
‘We’, ‘us’, or ‘our’ means Tilla Jewellery and our contact details are set out at the end of this Warranty.
‘You’, or ‘your’ means the purchaser of the Products.
‘Products’ means the product supplied to you by us, or our Supplier, pursuant to the Tilla Terms and Conditions.
‘Supplier’ means an authorised distributor or retailer of the Products that sold you the Products in Australia.
This Warranty is an integral part of our Return & Exchanges policies. It is subject to the Tilla Return & Exchanges policy, and in the event of any inconsistency or ambiguity between this Warranty and our Returns & Exchanges policy, the Returns & Exchanges policy will take prevail.
This Warranty is only valid and enforceable in Australia and is governed by the laws of Victoria.
